Our Story

“Our goal is to be a biblically driven Church that reaches the lost for Christ, takes people to a deeper, more satisfying life with Jesus Christ, and helps people biblically navigate the demands of 21st-century living. — Arlan Koppendrayer, MDiv.

Trinity Hill Church began in 2017 as a new church in Chanhassen, MN. We are a community of people being restored by God’s grace. We believe God sent his Son, Jesus, to forgive our sins and make all things new. We believe that Jesus brings about this restoration of all things through his covenant people, the Church. And so, we are not only forgiven but also invited to participate with God in his renewal of all things. We are passionate about following our God in promoting love, justice, peace, and hope. And we are committed to inviting others to be a part of what God is doing in and through Trinity Hill Church. 

We are a church that goes deep. We go deep in our relationship with God, bringing to him both our joys and sorrows, our hopes and our fears, and hearing his promise of grace and love for us. We invest deeply in our relationships with one another, going beyond superficial niceties as we share life and faith together. We engage deeply with Scripture, allowing our lives to be shaped by God’s Word.

Our History

Pastor Arlan Koppendrayer was the founding pastor of Trinity Hill Church. He served as Pastor of Preaching and Teaching from the start of the church until his death in December of 2021. Arlan planted and nurtured the church using his significant experience in preaching, teaching, and outreach. In addition to having served as the Senior Pastor of churches in Grand Rapids, Michigan and Oshawa Ontario, he was also a high school Bible and History teacher for seventeen years. He tended Trinity Hill Church in much the same way that he tended the crops on his hobby farm. He "enriched the soil of the church" through his teaching and preaching so that those in the congregation would flourish as followers of Christ.
